![]() ![]() > apps run under it must be real mode only. > DOSBox apparently doesn't support DOS extenders like CWSDPMI, either, so If you have an Android device and want to try it, you can get Magic DOSBox Free from Google Play at. I'm still playing to see what works and what doesn't, but given the limits mentioned above, most things work. ![]() I must do "dir /s > dirlist.txt" and then "list dirslist.txt" instead.ĭOSBox apparently doesn't support DOS extenders like CWSDPMI, either, so apps run under it must be real mode only.Īnd DOSBox loads TSRs high, but doesn't support DOS drivers normally loaded in CONFIG.SYS. I can't do "dir /s | list /s" in the MSDOS top level directory. One is that pipes are apparently not implemented. The 4DOS install routines fail because they can't create the custom AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files they try to make, but 4DOS.COM, invoked from the command line, runs and behaves as expected. Binaries installed from Luchezar Georgiev's 8.0 released based on Rex Conn's 7.50 sources run fine. So do things like Vern Buerg's LIST file browser. Several other editors work as well, like MS Word for DOS 5.0, Daniel Lawrence's MicroEMACS editor, and Tony Baldwin's T editor. The question becomes, what all else might run? I have DOS versions of the old adventure, dungeon, VMS Empire and Unix Larn games, and all run fine. VDE runs fine, and lets me create, read, edit, and save text files on the tablet. I have an external USB keyboard connected to the tablet via an OTG adapter, and programs can all be used with the keyboard. When I exit from it, I can change to a different directory and run the app that lives there. I can CD to the desired directory, and run the DOS app. ![]() The configured entry in MDF mounts that directory as C:, and opens DOSBox in the mounted drive at a command line. My DOS programs are installed in sub-directories under an MSDOS directory on the microSD card. Multiple configs and collections assume games where you will want to configure them independently and run them from icons in the MDF main screen. If you want to configure more than one, or create collections of configured apps, you need the donate version. The freeware version of MDF only allows you to configure one application. Magic DOSBox Free relieves the need to do that, and passes Ctrl-keys as installed. (My device is rooted, but you still have to find the file and know what fiddles to make.) But on Android, that file lives in the root file system, and you must have a rooted device to be able to access and modify it. It is apparently possible to fix that in other DOSBos versions by modifying the keyboard config file used. WordStar makes extensive use of them as editing commands, and VDE uses the WordStar command set, so a DOSBox port that doesn't pass Ctrl-keys through to the application makes the app unusable. ![]() The problem I ran into was that other DOSBox ports did not pass Ctrl-key combinations through to the application. The first target was Eric Meyer's VDE, a freeware clone of the WordStar word processor that was first developed for CP/M and later ported by Eric to MSDOS. I was interested in running DOS character mode applications. I wasn't concerned with playing DOS games on the tablet. The one I settled on is Magic DOSBox free, based on a port of DOSBox 0.74. DOSBox implements a DOS virtual machine with DOS kernel and COMMAND.COM, and DOS functionaliy required to load and run games. There are several Android ports of the DOSBox emulator, intended to let users play old DOS games on newer machines, with graphics and sound support. It has a microSD card slot, and a 32GB card installed. It has a 1.3ghz quad-core Allwinner23 CPU (An ARM Cortex 7 design), Mali graphics displaying on an 800x480 screen, 512MB RAM, 8GB Flash, and runs Android KitKat 4.4. One of the devices in my collection is a generic 7" Android tablet, from Yet Another Chinese Manufacturer targeting the consumer electronics market. ![]()

Neutrogena sunscreen reviews8/8/2023 ![]() ![]() For babies six months and older you need to be looking out for something called a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Due to its heightened sensitivity, their skin is consequently more susceptible to damage. When it comes to children and babies it’s no surprise that their skin is more sensitive than ours. Neutrogena Baby & Kids Sunscreen ReviewĪ child’s face is way more sensitive than an adult’s. This formula is light enough that if I can’t find my usual SPF moisturizer I can just apply this and continue with my usual beauty routine. You usually can’t wear sunscreen comfortably under a layer of foundation or powder because they are too greasy. Personally, the part that caught my attention about this sunscreen is the fact that Neutrogena claims it’s wearable under makeup. It neutralizes UV radiation, therefore, minimizing skin damage from long exposure to the sun. This chemical compound has moisturizing effects but is mostly used for its emollient properties. Specifically, it absorbs those UVB rays that are associated with DNA damage. This substance prevents direct skin exposure by absorbing harmful UV rays. The first is Homosalate which is an organic compound. There are two main active ingredients in Neutrogena’s Adult Sunscreen. There is nothing worse than applying sunscreen and literally feeling like you’re greasing yourself up. The formula itself is PABA free and non-comedogenic which basically means it won’t clog your pores and give your skin that really heavy, oily finish. This means that you should reapply after wearing it for an hour. It is water resistant for around eighty minutes. The adult sunscreen in Neutrogena’s sunscreen range is essentially their ‘basic’ sunscreen. I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry, but around a shot glass worth on the body should suffice. Those ghosts you see lathered in sunscreen on the beach are completely over the top and unnecessary. As to the exact amount – your skin should be totally covered in a thin layer. Reapplication is key to reaping the full benefits of sunscreen. Your sunscreen actually becomes unstable after too much exposure to the sun. Once you’ve applied your morning coat of sunscreen, you should then be reapplying at least every two hours – more if you’ve been in water or sweating heavily. The general rule is that it’s best to apply your sunscreen first, and then your DIY daily moisturizer (it would be ideal if your moisturizer already contained an SPF). Let me talk you through where you’re going wrong and when the right time to use sunscreen is. You applied it first thing in the morning and never again throughout the day? I got burnt even when the sunscreen was applied in the morning. I think that’s one of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to sunscreen. If you don’t have often enough – or correctly – it’s just not going to work. Sunscreen has to be reapplied throughout the day. So, if we’re supposed to expose ourselves to the sun but not supposed to expose ourselves to the sun then when exactly am I supposed to use my sunscreen? When Is The Right Time To Use Sunscreen? Our body needs a healthy amount of sunlight, but we have to be careful to protect our skin from its harmful rays (specifically the harsh ultraviolet B ones). Either way, it’s vital to get the nutrients that the sun provides in order for our body to function properly. We complain when it rains, and we complain when it’s sunny. I think it’s important to note that it’s totally unnecessary to demonize the sun. ![]() So, I decided to find out for myself by trying to understand the ins and outs of Neutrogena’s extensive sunscreen range. But I for one have never fully understood why. However, we all know that tanning without wearing a protective sunscreen is dangerous. I would get ridiculously (but deliciously) dark and thoroughly enjoy the pain of a good sunburn. My parents would constantly scold me for not wear sunscreen as a child. A healthy tan is crucial for proof that you have successfully (finally) topped up your vitamin D intake. Nobody wants to come back from their vacation as pale as they were when they left. ![]()

Cable booster for rv8/8/2023 ![]() ![]() Once all the connections have been made, turn your TV and booster on, configure the settings and enjoy an evening of television.Īll satellite ready or cable ready means is that the correct cables have been pre-wired inside your RV. It all depends on how your RV or trailer is pre-wired. YOu may have to attach a small cable to the booster switch as well. Then go inside and connect your television set to the interior cable box. Just connect the pre-wired connectors to the booster or directly to the dish. This process depends on if you are pre-wired for cable. When you have a rooftop device, like a cable dome or satellite dish, you may also have a booster device attached to get a stronger signal. When you see that it is, you simply turn your TV on and configure it to receive the RV park’s cable signal. The next step would be to make sure your television set is connected to the internal connection box. You bring the cable wire from the shore power pole to that exterior connection box. If you are in a park and your RV or trailer has an external connection box, this process is quite simple. Basically, everything is the same as your traditional home except connections and wire routes will be more complicated. ![]() When it is all said and done, you just use your remote to power the television set and select the channels you want to watch. To wire in a second TV, you may have to use a splitter and another cable that leads from the splitter or receiver back to your rear TV Then you just attach the cable to that set. To hook up the dish to your TV may mean only adding the connections as the cable has been pre-wired for this luxury. You may have it coming from your satellite or cable dish located on your roof. Except that you may not have an exterior wire bringing the signal to your trailer, etc. You have a receiver, some cables, and a TV For some systems, everything is transmitted through wires from the cable television company.Īll you do is have the company bring the wire to your home, and connect it to a modem, and then to your television set. This luxury works like it does in a traditional home. ![]()

Chrome taskade8/8/2023 ![]() Ways to Access Taskadeįor most platforms there is two ways to access Taskade, the web and then a custom app that is tailored to the platform. I could also see building out a web site map with the org chart view. I’m not sure what I’d use the mindmap and org chart views for when it comes to managing projects, but mindmaps are excellent if you’re organizing content inside Taskade. Fairly standard in many task managers is the list view and the kanban view, but then Taskade adds the mindmap, action, and org chart views. One of the interesting features of Taskade is the variety of views that you can use inside a project. To move a task select the three dots beside the task and choose Move to and pick where you want it. Heck even if GTD is not your thing I think an Inbox is a great idea. If you were going to follow GTD here then you’d need to create an Inbox project to add your tasks to. It allows you enter some custom text, choose which project it goes in and even choose which block you add your task to. On iOS Taskade does have a Share Sheet extension so you can share items directly into the application. You’ll have to select the app then select a project and enter a task for a project. ![]() ![]() Where you can use a keyboard command to add stuff to Things 3 or OmniFocus or Todoist on macOS, the Taskade application doesn’t offer anything like that. One of the biggest issues I have with Taskade is that there is no quick entry on any platform. I found starting with a template to be the best way to get started as something about doing it manually just didn’t click for me. You can also see the individual tasks that have dates on them.įinally, Taskade has many pre-built templates for you to use as you start up a project. In addition to a standard list of your projects you can see your projects on a Roadmap that corresponds with the dates you’ve set for them. Workspaces also provide a few different views. So I guess the best way to think about a Workspace would be to have one for each different business you run? Maybe I’d have one for all the projects that are just on me, like Personal stuff this YouTube channel, and a theoretical future business would get it’s own Workspace with various subspaces to keep Information there organized. At first I thought that I should use a different workspace for each area of my life, like work/home, but when I went to create a new one Taskade informed me that I probably didn’t need to create a new workspace and instead could use a subspace, which doesn’t cost me anything extra since upgrades apply across a whole workspace. One of the first organizational units or Taskade is the Workspace. I’m happy to say that Taskade doesn’t miss this easy quality of life improvement for their tool. So many applications skip this feature because only “power users” get to know keyboard commands, but those same users are the ones that will be the evangelists because a tool makes their life so much better. A Tour of Taskadeīefore we take a basic tour of the Taskade interface I want to mention that Taskade has many keyboard commands for you to use. You can work on organizing a project while on your call and for iPadOS users, those calls continue to work in Split Screen when you use Safari. One big way that Taskade sets itself out from Notion is that it allows you to call the people you collaborate with directly inside the application. ![]() This isn’t a bad thing, but if you’re looking for an OmniFocus or Todoist replacement Taskade is a different kind of tool. After using it for a few weeks it feels like it’s closer to Notion than it is to any personal task management application I’ve used in the past. Taskade is a web based collaborative project management tool. You can graft a GTD workflow into Taskade but it seems like something you’re forcing on the wrong tool. Taskade is not a personal task manager in the same way that Things 3 or OmniFocus is a personal task manager. Let’s start by talking about what Taskade is not. ![]()

Plumber putty near me8/8/2023 ![]() The hardness makes it challenging to shape and modifyīecause I haven’t bought and tested all of the brands out there, I relied on the opinion of Plumbing Love’s review. You have to be accurate the first time you use it. A scraping tool of some sort will need to be used to remove it. If you ever need to replace a faucet, or something, you will have to scrape off all the bits of the silicone to make a nice tight seal again. You will most likely need a scraping tool to remove it.Once dry, it becomes so hard that you rarely see it break or crack. Often used if there is a break or split to fill in an area and seal it off. Silicone is used in marine operations to help keep the wooden ships sealed and in ship shape. This was not designed for nor is it ideal to use over a large area. ![]() It can be tricky to get the putty to stay if you are working in an area where gravity is working against you.ĭon’t plan on fixing cracks or holding pieces together with plumber’s putty. There are plenty of older homes where the original faucets are working just fine and they were installed over 50 years ago with plumber’s putty. Say you want to change out your faucet in a few years, it is easy to remove the old plumber’s putty with little effort. ![]() If the placement is not quite right, just pull it off and re apply. Just as the name implies, the soft material can be kneaded, shaped, and manipulated over and over until the correct amount and location is achieved. I like to think the puzzled stares were out of admiration for my creativity. Yep, people at the hardware store thought I was nuts for arranging the plumber’s putty and silicone caulking like this. There are pros and cons to both that may help you to decide which product is best suited for your needs. Plumber’s putty is more traditional while silicone caulking is a more modern product, but either one (in most cases) can get the job done. Here are some PROs and CONs of plumber’s putty and silicone caulk so you can decide what product is best for your project.īoth plumber’s putty and silicone are sealing compounds designed to provide a water tight fit for pop up drains, sink strainers, undersides of fittings, showers and drains. Laundry waits for no one!Īnyway, it is time to fix the deep sink drain and it got me thinking…what is the better choice of compound when repairing a sink or faucet? Of course I made a list to compare. Time to take care of this problem so I can get back to using my deep sink. I have since built a unit next to it that provides so much more stability than it had before! The plumber’s putty around the sink drain has cracked and is leaky. Most likely due to when the sink is bumped hard it moves a little because it stands alone on thin legs. Over time and with lots of use/abuse (three boys who do sports and a dog we wash in the deep sink), the plumber’s putty must have cracked and needs replacing. When we first moved into the house, my dad visited and helped me install the free-standing deep sink and faucet in the laundry room. ![]() ![]() By keeping these things in mind when searching, you will be able to find a trusted plumbing company that will provide quality service and safe work for many years to come.Found a puddle on the laundry room floor with my socked foot. This is important because accidents can occur anywhere, from a broken pipe, to a burst pipe, and it’s not worth your business to risk your property or even your life. Ask for the number of years they have been in business, and take their recommendation to the next level of expertise.Īs you work through the process, don’t forget to ask the local plumbing company if they are licensed, insured and bonded. This will give you some idea of the kind of service they provide and help you make the final decision about what company to work with. It’s important to talk to a local professional who knows the industry and has been in the same position for a while. The only way you can find a trusted local plumber is to ask around and get referrals. Using an online system will allow you to quickly compare the different companies located near you, providing you with the opportunity to make an informed decision about your services. If you’re searching for a trusted local plumbing company and you don’t know where to begin your search, consider using an online company directory. ![]()

New hype house address8/8/2023 ![]() ![]() It definitely has some sad parts when they are talking about their own personal stories, but that’s what makes the whole show. I would definitely recommend this show to people who find it thrilling to watch TV dramas. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this show as much as I did, and I found myself connecting to the cast in a way, as I am around their ages. I do understand that Thomas and everyone felt that he wasn’t pulling his weight, but Chase was also going off trying to become a successful musician, something that he always wanted to be.Īll in all, I do believe that everyone in that house was very supportive towards Chase, I just feel they went at it in a little too aggressive of a way. I didn’t understand why everyone was making a big deal out of it, he was still a part of Hype House, just not living under the same roof. Thomas was upset with Chase because he decided to move into a new house by himself. The part that I found a little disappointing was all the drama surrounding Thomas and Chase. It was just a bunch of people hanging out together and having a great time. Watching that scene was very fun and humorous to watch. There was a part when a bunch of people got together at Chase Hudson’s house where they were playing a game, similar to truth or dare. ![]() Having prior knowledge that his mother recently passed away due to kidney failure, watching that scene pulled at my heartstrings.Īlthough they do go into a deep dive in each other’s struggles, the show dosen’t have a sad tone all the time. Fans have been trying to track down the exact address of the Hype House but all we know is that the mansion is located in Los Angeles and rent is 900 a month for a room. Watching him visit his father’s gravesite, he emphasized talking about how he struggled with an abusive mother and how after his father passed away due to cancer, she fell into a deep addiction to alcohol. They went in and talked about each individual’s families and struggles which all lead them to where they are now. One thing that surprised me was how in-depth the episodes were. ![]() It follows them through the trials and tribulations of balancing work life and personal life, set in the last few months before the house got shut down. Packed with many points of drama that I found enjoyable to follow, “Hype House” features famous social-media stars Thomas Petrou, Alex Warren, Kover Annon, Mia Hayward, Larray and many more. But as the series got going, I was pleasantly surprised. Going in with spotty background knowledge on the Hype House, where a bunch of viral TikTok creators live together to be able to make content together, I was a little skeptical if their Netflix show was going to be good or not. ![]() |
